OUT PATIENT COVER: VHI / LAYA/ AVIVA/ Glo HEalth
If you are insured with VHI / LAYA / AVIVA/GLO HEALTH / GMA and you have received a bill from us which is an OUT PATIENT bill (this will be identified on the front of the bill) our understanding is that your insurance company will NOT cover this account. You must pay this amount and can reclaim any eligible refund back from your insurers (normally at subscription year end). Please refer to your Member Handbook, Out Patient section for details or contact your insurers directly. If you are unsure as to the level of insurance cover you hold and whether your medical insurers may cover out – patient bills you should contact your insurers directly to clarify. We will not be able to answer this query for you as your contract is with your Medical Insurers.
OUT PATIENT PROCEDURE: PRIVATE HOSPITAL
If you attended a private hospital i.e.: Bon Secours Hospital, Beacon Hospital, St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Whitfield Clinic etc, and you have received a bill from us regarding a procedure then you should make payment directly to us. You may have paid a fee to the hospital on the date of your attendance which would include a “Technical or Laboratory Charge” however this fee is for the use of the diagnostic equipment and is part of the hospital account and does not include (unless otherwise stated) the Consultants Professional Fee” (for interpreting and reporting) to which our bill relates.
